Calling all fashion + film lovers — this one’s for you. I’ve curated an alphabetical list of the 25 most fashionable movies I’ve ever seen that are NOT The Devil Wears Prada or Clueless (even though they’re both great).
Here’s a collection of chic classics, French flicks, and new standards of the industry.
1. Age of Adaline (2015) — Blake Lively’s Adaline Bowman transcends space and time and gracefully glides through the decades as an ageless beauty. Her wardrobe begins in the 1920s and continues through present-day.

2. American Hustle (2013) — It’s basically Studio 54 with Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams as the centerpieces. So, yeah, it’s great.

3. …And God Created Woman (1956) – Brigitte Bardot, galavanting around the south of France while enchanting multiple men at once. A round of applause for you.

4. Basic Instinct (1992) — Basic Instinct makes the list solely for Sharon Stone’s solid white sheath dress. Catherine Tramell is the ultimate icy femme fatale and has the wardrobe to back her up.

5. Belle de Jour (1967) — Catherine Deneuve is the most stylish housewife-turned-prostitute that you’ll ever see. The dirty work at the brothel is portrayed in a decently couture manner.

6. Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) — Another fashionable call-girl! Holly Golightly’s wardrobe is impeccable. It oozes timeless sophistication and simultaneously represents the vibrant sixties’ Manhattan she calls home.

7. Cafe Society (2016) — Who says the 1930s wasn’t an era of fashion? Not Woody Allen’s characters.

8. Catch Me If You Can (2002) — Leo makes every single one of Frank’s aliases look cool as sh*t. The women he surrounds himself with are also crazy stylish. Good for him.

9. Call Me By Your Name (2017) — “Somewhere in northern Italy…” and in the 1980s? Yeah. This one makes the list.

10. Charade (1963) — More Audrey! Parisian hijinks and comedic crime have never looked so chic.

11. Clue (1985) — The drama. The laughs. The costumes. God, I love this wonderfully kitschy movie.

12. Contempt (1963) — Brigitte is back! Thankfully she doesn’t let her resentment towards her husband and her life cloud her outfit choices.

13. Cruel Intentions (1999) — These kids make being bad look so good. If Gossip Girl aired in the nineties, this movie would be the blueprint.

14. Gone With the Wind (1939) — Scarlett’s dresses. Her hair. Her house. Her everything. I realized the true meaning of decadence during my first watch as a child.

15. The Graduate (1967) — Mrs. Robinson may have an entire Simon & Garfunkel song in her honor, but it’s her daughter Elaine who steals the show with her effortlessly tailored collegiate style.

16. La Piscine (1969) — Summer style along the French Riviera, courtesy of Romy Schneider and Jane Birkin.

17. Parent Trap (1998) — Lindsay Lohan may have been America’s sweetheart at the time, but growing up all I wanted to be was as stylish as Meredith Blake.

18. Rear Window (1954) — Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart define “dressed up with nowhere to go” in the classic Hitchcock thriller.

19. Scarface (1983) — Greed and grime never looked so good.

20. A Simple Favor (2018) — Blake Lively is a modern-day femme fatale who knows how to rock a power-suit.

21. Sound of Music (1965) — The stylish Von Trapp clan no doubt stirs envy throughout all of Austria.

22. Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) — Rich kids on holiday in Italy during the 1950s. Amazing.

23. The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) — Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway give the Queen’s Gambit a run for its money during their intimate chess match.

24. To Catch a Thief (1955) — A former jewel thief and a socialite fall in love in Monte Carlo. Oof.

25. Wolf of Wall Street (2013) — The stylish tale of Jordan Belfort’s progression from rags to riches.
